HI, I’M MIKE
From Made By Mike Construction Limited. I come from a long family history in the construction industry, for myself it all started when I was seven years old and I started working with my dad and my uncle on job sites. Any day I wasn’t in school I could be found on a job site right through to the age of eighteen when I graduated high school and jumped in full time.
It’s kind of crazy to think that I was only seven years old when I was first exposed to the construction industry, dating back to the spring of 1989 (wow really dating myself here). It started with single family homes, multi family residences and now a niche market of outdoor living spaces. Even though my dad has passed on, my brothers are still running a reputable and successful construction business on the foundation our dad set over his time here.
My dad always said it’s 90% building those relationships and 10% business. I pride myself in taking the time to understand my clients wants and needs, listening inventively to bring my best. Adding my professional knowledge and value to the conversation. At the end of the day it’s about my clients feeling comfortable and confident about myself and their project(s). I’m always appreciative and humbled to be given the opportunity to bring my clients ideas to life. In my eyes I’m not just building an outdoor living space, I’m building a space that will bring family and friends together to make memories, share stories and enjoy each other’s company.
I’m always full of gratitude for those I’ve been able to network with and grow relationships with over the years. My goal has always been to align myself with fellow tradesmen and business owners who share the same values, morals, integrity and passion for this industry. I’ve always been about the big picture and seeing everyone around me win, together we’re building more than just our own respected small businesses. The men and women I work with have their own families as do I, they’ve worked tirelessly to establish their own brand which is evident in our builds. Collectively our sole purpose is to be sure our clients are happy and taken care of, building and stronger together to ultimately serve our clients wants and needs.
I live in the vibrant community of Pitt Meadows with my beautiful wife and four kids. We love being involved and immersed in the community, we love to explore what our beautiful surroundings present to us. I’m also a firefighter with Delta Fire Rescue, when I’m not at the firehall or building outdoor living spaces I enjoy the ultra trail running scene. Above all else is the time spent with my family, our family adventures and making memories together!
